1 cup basmati rice
1 can chickpeas, drained
and rinsed
1 onion, sliced
2 garlic cloves, minced

2-3 cardamom pods
2-3 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon coriander
powder
